„Bezpieczeństwo Realizacji Inwestycji i usług na rzecz Sił Zbrojnych RP”
A residential building project developed by the AMW Invest team has been recognized with an award in the "Investment of the Year" competition. The residential building located at Kopernika 1A in Biała Podlaska was honored by the Jury of the competition organized by the Polish Chamber of Real Estate Management.
The building was designed by AMW Invest to meet the housing needs of soldiers stationed in the Biała Podlaska garrison, in light of the expansion of the Polish Armed Forces securing NATO’s eastern flank. The project was overseen by the team from AMW's Lublin branch.
The building includes 23 residential units, offering two-, three-, and four-room apartments. Additionally, 13 units serve as lodging quarters. In total, the building accommodates 41 soldiers.
In the words of the Lead Designer for the project:
"The designed architecture harmonizes with the surroundings in terms of scale, shape, and façade materials. The building's height aligns with the neighboring residential developments near the project site. Stylistically, it complements the existing building on the adjacent plot along Warszawska Street. The façades feature traditional architectural forms, with a consistent and balanced design. The structure includes a fully basemented layout resembling two interlocking rectangles, with height variations: five stories on the street side and four on the eastern side. The façades exhibit a historicist composition, with symmetrical window placement and horizontal divisions. The design emphasizes a tripartite façade composition, highlighting the base, main body, and crown of the building. Rustication adds a timeless and elegant appearance. The overall façade design reflects symmetry and balance, achieved through evenly spaced window arrangements and a harmonious axis-centered composition.”

The Competition Jury evaluates submissions based on several criteria, including:
- Innovation and modernity of the solutions implemented,
- Functionality of the investment,
- Energy efficiency,
- Accessibility features for individuals with disabilities,
- Environmental impact,
- Urban coherence,
- Economic feasibility of the investment.

Let’s start with the numbers ✒️. The program for this two-day industry event included discussions at 5 roundtables and 8 plenary sessions. The Congress hosted over 60 speakers, nearly 250 roundtable guests, and more than 500 attendees.
The numbers are undoubtedly impressive, but quality always outweighs quantity. This was evidenced by the presence of project and construction industry leaders, academics, university deans, and representatives from finance and state administration, underscoring the significance of the debates and roundtable discussions held.
We are delighted that AMW Invest could be part of this event!
AMW Invest’s President, Paweł Kurtyka, EMBA, participated in the II Strategic Session "Investments, Regulations - Impact on the Situation of the Construction Sector in Poland" and the Roundtable of Designers and Contractors - "Engineering Design - Relations between Designers, Investors, and General Contractors," where he discussed the specific aspects of military construction design, as well as opportunities and challenges for this sector. There were also a few words about AMW Invest’s major design achievements related to the construction of infrastructure for Poland's largest military equipment purchases—achievements of which we are particularly proud, as at AMW Invest, We Design for the Republic of Poland!
